Fruit Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to pack in fruit and dairy! Any fruit is a good choice for a smoothie,
so get creative; just make sure you are using whole fruits (fresh or frozen) to get the most
health benefits. While smoothies may appear high in sugar, if the right ingredients are added,
the sugars are completely natural, so your smoothie should have no added sugar (though it
does have total sugars). Make sure your yogurt doesn’t have a bunch of hidden added
sugar…don’t worry, the fruit will make this a sweet, healthy treat. Plain yogurt is best. Another
Pro Tip: If you like super-sweet smoothies, let your fruit ripen a bit longer. The riper the fruit,
the higher the natural sugar content. If your fruit is over ripe or you don’t plan to eat it before it
goes bad, toss it in the freezer to use for future smoothies.

Total fiber-sugar-protein equaling 5-46*-10 (change to 5-0-10 if tracking only added sugar)

Directions:

Blend all ingredients and 1/3 cup of water together in a mixer until smooth. Add more water if
you like your smoothies thinner. Enjoy!
